Project: DSTL Porton Down – building refurbishment

For this project we were tasked with the design, installation, commissioning and verification of a new standalone emergency lighting system throughout the building. These works formed part of a larger project to refurbish the building to provide a further 10-15 life cycle. In which K J Quinn Services Ltd were the main electrical contractor and fire alarm installer.
Throughout this project we were required to liaise with various authorities including the Defence Fire Risk Management Organisation (DFRMO) to ensure compliance of the installation.
Quinns has been established since 2005 and we have grown to over 20 people. Our clients include large MoD establishments. We offer a range of m & e services including reactive, planned and installation work and are CompEx and BAFE accredited. We offer a full design service on projects up to £1 million.
