At Quinns we employ engineers qualified in CompEx Units EX01-04 and EX-05-06 allowing us to carry out electrical work as detailed below in areas that contain hazardous gases and/or dusts.
- Ex01 The preparation & installation of Ex ‘d’, ‘n’, ‘e’ and ‘p’ electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres.
- Ex02 The inspection and maintenance of Ex ‘d’, ‘n’, ‘e’ and ‘p’ electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres.
- Ex03 The preparation & installation of Ex ‘i’ equipment and systems in explosive atmospheres.
- Ex04 The inspection and maintenance of Ex ‘i’ equipment and systems in explosive atmospheres.
- Ex05 The preparation & installation of electrical equipment protected by enclosure, for use in Explosive Dust Atmospheres.
- Ex06 The maintenance and inspection of electrical equipment protected by enclosure, for use in Explosive Dust Atmospheres
We are also an NICEIC Hazardous Area approved electrical contractor.
In 2013 Quinn’s Ltd achieved BAFE accreditations for Fire alarm- Installation only and Emergency Lighting for Design, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance.
Since 2013 we have carried out a number of large scale fire alarm and emergency lighting projects throughout the MOD sector to include Design, Installation, Commissioning and Maintence at DSTL Porton down, RAF Boscombe Down, Tidworth and Bulford Garrisons. We also carry out Monthly and Annual emergency Lighting maintence tasks within local schools within our area.
We have worked with many of our clients on their own lighting projects in a consultancy capacity to help achieve full emergency lighting design approval and sign of with the local fire authority.
